Thomas Tuchel on England fans' booing in Riga: British humor, I can handle it - 1

England's head coach Thomas Tuchel saw the funny side of things, amid the booing he received from the visiting fans during the English team's 5-0 victory over Latvia in a rainy Riga in the World Cup qualifiers, writes the "Reuters" agency, quoted by BTA.

Tuchel criticizes the English fans at the "Wembley" stadium last week, accusing them of not providing enough support during a routine 3-0 friendly win over Wales.

The fans were much more vocal on Tuesday night as they celebrated England's qualification for next year's World Cup, at one point singing the former Chelsea manager's "Are we loud enough for you?".

"It was fair. I take it with a good sense of humour," Tuchel said, adding: "They had a point today because of my recent comments and I suppose that's fair."

"I found it quite creative. It made me smile and that's how it should be. It's British humour and I can certainly take it. There's nothing wrong with that," the German coach added.

"The support today was brilliant and we're sure the support in America will be absolutely brilliant. We need it," added Thomas Tuchel after last night's match in Latvia.
