The teams of Barcelona and Real Madrid fell against low-ranking rivals in the 13th round of the King's Cup tournament, which also falls in the 1/16-finals phase.
The two giants of Spanish football are participating in the tournament from this stage, and will do so with away games. The Catalans, who won the trophy last season, will be visiting third-division Guadalajara.
Talavera de la Reina - another team from the third tier of Spanish football - will host Real Madrid.
Atlético Madrid, on the other hand, will travel to the Balearic Islands to meet local Atletico Baleares, who in the previous round eliminated another team from La Liga - Espanyol.
The 1/16-finals will also see the first clash between two elite teams, with Alaves hosting Sevilla.
Racing Santander, whose goalkeeper is youth international Plamen Andreev, will host third-placed Villarreal in La Liga.
Other more interesting matches from this phase of the tournament are Deportivo La Coruña - Mallorca, Huesca - Osasuna, Eibar - Elche and Granada - Rayo Vallecano.
The 1/16-final matches will be played between December 16 and 18.
