The head coach of CSKA-Sofia Nestor El Maestro was satisfied with the 2:0 victory over Levski in the big derby of the 28th round in the football First League. "I would like to start with a salute to the “red“ part of Bulgaria for the victory in the derby. First and foremost, I am very happy for our fans today. I think we played a fantastic game. Our victory was decisive and more than deserved. We dominated the first half and destroyed them in the second. With all due respect, I think that Levski was also a little lucky today that they didn't concede any more goals," commented El Maestro.
"We all knew that to win today we need a top performance in key positions, such as Marcelino, who played an outstanding game. Also five or six other players who even managed to surpass their level and based on that we managed to win. I try to prepare the team for the big matches, as for the others. Let's find the opponent's weak points and neutralize the strong ones, like every week and I try to find a little psychological magic that works today", Nestor El Maestro also said.
The owner of Levski, Nasko Sirakov, said that his players beat themselves. According to him, today's 0:2 defeat by CSKA-Sofia was due to mistakes in the defense. "We fought ourselves, conceded a ridiculous first goal and didn't play what we could have played. Our team is young, some were worried about our young players and couldn't shake it off. But they too must look forward, raise their head and look forward. We know each other's weaknesses. We are missing three key players and that is a lot for our team. When the coach turns to the bench, he sees only one Fadiga. We know where we are, but in view of the financial situation of the club, we have to comply", Sirakov explained.
