Why Ludogorets got a new coach and replaced Zachary Sirakov ... - 1

Sports director of Ludogorets Georgi Karamandjukov gave a joint briefing with the club's new coach Igor Jovicevich, who was officially introduced. Karamandjukov stated that the club considered many coaching names before settling on Igor Jovičević and admitted that the loss to Slavia Prague was not the reason for the change of Zachary Sirakov, reports gong.bg.

„After the previous head coach, Mr. Georgi Dermendzhiev, was released, the sports and technical staff of Ludogorets took on the task of finding a suitable and sufficiently authoritative coach. The loss to Slavia Prague was not the reason for the appointment of Igor Jovičević. I want to thank Zahari Sirakov, who during these 45 days was at the head of the representative team”, said Karamandzukov.

„There were quite a few candidates and many names were discussed and proposed to the owners. We are glad that at no time was Mr. Jovičević's name mentioned in the press. We settled on it for many reasons. He will be the right person who has shown a good knowledge of the team as a quality. His ambitions and goals match those of Ludogorets”, he declared.

„There are compromises on both sides. As a football player and coach, he has been to many places, which will help him. In Ludogorets, there are football players of different nationalities”, the sports director of Ludogorets also commented.

„Bernard Tekpetei was in Vienna. The situation there is on schedule. We hope that Anton Nedyalkov will return to the game after the break for the national teams. We expect that he will then be 100% ready for selection by the coach”, concluded Georgi Karamandzukov.
