Ludogorets achieved a routine victory with 2:0 when visiting Botev (Vratsa) in a match of the 10th round of the First League. The visits of the "eagles" was quite symbolic, as the match was played at their stadium "Huvepharma Arena" in Razgrad. At the "Hristo Botev" stadium in Vratsa, the grass cover is currently being improved, because of which the match could not be held there, BTA reports.
The meeting was the debut for the new head coach of the champions, Igor Jovičević.
Under the heavy rain in Razgrad, Ludogorets had a complete game advantage. In the 8th minute, Ivaylo Chochev failed to hit the goal from ten meters after a cross on the ground from the left flank. Five minutes later, Jakub Piotrovski also shot into the box after a pass from Georgi Rusev.
In the 24th minute, Ruan Seko's header was caught by Botev Vratsa goalkeeper Lyubomir Vassilev. However, the keeper had nothing to do in the 33rd minute when Piotrovski crossed softly into the penalty area and Chochev outran two Vracani defenders to head home for 0-1.
Six minutes later, Ludogorets organized a very good counterattack, where Georgi Rusev slipped behind the opponent's defense and sent a parallel pass to Rick Jonathan, who flew the ball into the goal for 2:0 in favor of the people of Razgrad.
During the second half, the tempo of the game was completely lost for both teams and the game was quite sluggish.
