Martin Lukov will not continue his career at Lokomotiv Plovdiv, where he has a contract until the summer of 2025, sportal.bg reported. His last match with the “black and white“ team was the one against Beroe for the Cup in Stara Zagora.
“A person from the Lokomotiv management told me that after the New Year they will not rely on me”, goalkeeper Lukov told “Darik Radio”, who won two Bulgarian Cups and one Super Cup with Plovdiv. “We are now negotiating with the management to terminate the contract, which is until the summer of 2025. I spent two good periods in the team and despite the difficulties recently, the fans always supported us, for which I thank them!“
Martin Lukov is a Levski youth player, but he did not reach the first team of the “blues“, and his successes in Bulgaria were with Dunav Ruse, with whom the team played in the European tournaments, and with Lokomotiv Plovdiv, with whom the team won the Bulgarian Cup twice / against Botev Pd and CSKA - Sofia / and once the Super Cup of our country.
If he remains a free agent this transfer window, the 31-year-old goalkeeper will expect offers from teams where he can continue his football career.
