The management of CSKA is on the way to quickly find a replacement for the departed goalkeeper Ivan Dyulgerov, Match Telegraph reported, quoted by Topsport.
"The Reds" have reached an agreement with the second division Dunav (Ruse) for Daniel Nikolov, and according to the information they will pay 100,000 leva for his rights. The 19-year-old Nikolov will be the third goalkeeper for the new season after Lapouhov and Busato.
Even during last season, there were many offers for him from teams from the First League, but then he decided to remain loyal to Dunav. Now, however, he has decided to accept the offer of one of the homegrown giants and play at the highest level in Bulgarian football, even though he may not get that many chances at first.
Nikolov made a very strong impression in the 1/8 finals of the Bulgarian Cup against Levski last season, when he played a very strong game for "Gerena", despite Dunav losing 0:1. He even saved a penalty by Marin Petkov in that match.
