The Israeli Cup winner Hapoel Beer Sheva, who is Levski's rival in the first qualifying round of the Europa League, lost their first match of the summer training, BTA reported.
The graduates of Ran Kuzhuch, who arrived in Warsaw for a camp at the beginning of the week, suffered a defeat by the Polish second division Polonia Bitum with 1:3 (1:1). The match lasted 100 minutes by agreement between the two teams, and the goal for the Israelis was scored by 18-year-old Itai Hazut at the end of the first half with a shot from about ten meters after an assist by Eliel Peretz.
Apoel had the upper hand in the first half, but missed several good chances. After the break, Kujuh made a number of substitutions, with new signings Mohammad Kanaan, Ofir Davidzada and Igor Zlatanovic coming into the game, as well as Romanian forward Antonio Sefer, who was brought back into the squad after a period of loan, captain Miguel Vitor and main Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa.
Apoel will prepare according to plan in Poland until the beginning of next month, and on July 10 the first meeting with Levski is at 20:30 at the "Georgi Asparuhov" stadium.
