The French club Lyon, which was demoted for administrative reasons to Ligue 2 due to its financial situation, may still remain in the elite of France, writes the newspaper "Equipe", quoted by BNR.
To this end, however, the seven-time champion of France must urgently find and enter 200 million euros into its accounts by next Thursday. This is the guarantee required by the DNCG control body, and next week the club's appeal against the penalty will be heard before the Appeals Committee.
The requirement is that Lyon has 100 million euros in its accounts, but also to provide a guarantee of another 100 million euros for the next season.
Earlier this week, club president John Texter resigned, and in his place came American Michelle Kang, who will have the almost impossible task of finding the required amount.
