Kuzman Iliev to FACT: We are witnessing a creeping dictatorship (VIDEO) - 1

Condolences to the policeman who lost his life today when he was guarding the PP-DB protest in front of the parliament. (editor's note - the PP-DB protest blocked the entrances to the parliament garages, so Peevski had to enter the building on foot. The policeman felt sick while on duty because he had a cardiac arrest, and later died) When there is public tension, there is no way this will not be politicized. Bulgarian politicians do nothing but create tension and set people off. They only divide. Today, everyone in Bulgarian politics has taken a negative stance. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the “FACT“ studio and the “Conversation“ show economist Kuzman Iliev from the PP “Bulgaria Can“.

“But there is also a bigger picture. From the PP-DB blockade today we saw Mr. Peevski walking down the street. We did not believe that this was possible. People's idea was that he would fly over, that he would pass through walls. And now we have a big drama for us - in Bulgaria. Today we are witnessing a creeping dictatorship and the taking away of the president's powers in terms of the separation of powers, in terms of security, in terms of him being some kind of last stop that does not give too much power to the executive branch. We see how in a series of cabinets we are simply killing democracy. The service cabinets were seized from the president, and this was practically given to the ruling parties that have merged. This was an incredible mistake by the PP-DB. Thus they showed that they are no different from those they persecuted and are persecuting. Today, the president has no control over many important appointments that would prevent the totalitarian regime from taking over Bulgaria. By taking away the president's rights, he will no longer have control over the executive branch. Anyone who has a majority can make whatever laws they want - regardless of the spirit of the law. This is already a big problem," the guest added.
