The caretaker government has a limited period of work and limited obligations - to organize elections. Its horizon is short, and we look at it as if a government is coming that will govern Bulgaria for a longer time. However, it is possible to prolong the work of the caretaker cabinet if the result of the elections is such that a regular government cannot be formed. Then the caretaker cabinet may stay longer. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the studio „FACTI“ and in the program „Conversation“ by journalist Ivan Bakalov.
„Society itself is so divided that this is reflected and produces a highly fragmented parliament. This is the situation. Sociology suggests that there will be several major political forces, but the question is whether the first and second will be able to form a majority, or the first and third. It will be interesting to see what parliamentary capital they will have – whether they will be 70 or 90 and a few deputies, and this also depends on whether the small parties will enter. Perhaps most will not enter, but if they do, the mandates for the first ones will be fewer“, added the guest.
„We have two months until the elections and these surveys can change significantly. We now have a Radev, who was previously president and spoke without opponents, stood in the position of head of state and criticized the parties from this position. Now he is one of the party leaders. We do not know what his party is called, who will be on the lists, but he already leads it – like the tsar in the past. From now on, Radev will have to participate in debates and answer many questions. The elections will become more difficult for him, because there will be questions that will have to be answered, and he can starts to lose. If he performs well, he will have results like these at the moment“, Ivan Bakalov also said.
