Russia will soon have an analogue of Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet service. This was announced by the head of the Russian space agency „Roscosmos“ Dmitry Bakanov, quoted by „Reuters“, reports News.bg.
Starlink, managed by the American billionaire Musk's company SpaceX, provides internet services via a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit and is widely used in remote areas and conflict zones.
Bakanov assured that Russia will soon launch its own satellite communication terminal.
„Soon we will have our own Starlink terminal. It is imperative to create our own satellite device,“ he said in response to comments that the Russians troops, like the Ukrainian ones, use satellite systems developed in the United States.
