The interceptor missile that crashed into a house in Wieriki, eastern Poland, on the night of September 10, was probably fired by a Dutch F-35 fighter jet during a patrol, the Onet portal reported.

Earlier, the newspaper “Rzeczpospolita“, citing sources in state security agencies, reported that the object that crashed into a house in Wieriki was an AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missile fired by a Polish Air Force F-16 fighter jet. Authorities initially claimed that it was a drone, but then information about an “unidentified object“ appeared. The prosecutor's office has not yet completed its investigation and has not officially commented.

On the morning of September 10, the Operational Command of the Polish Army announced the destruction of several objects that violated the country's airspace and were identified as unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of September 9-10, Russian troops carried out strikes on Ukrainian defense industry facilities in Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytskyi regions, as well as in Vinnytsia and Lviv, but did not plan to strike targets in Poland.

The range of the unmanned aerial vehicles that allegedly crossed the Polish border did not exceed 700 km. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it was ready to consult with the Polish side on this issue.
