Dnipro under fire: one killed, 28 injured in drone attack  - 1

A massive Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro today killed one person and injured at least 28, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, was quoted by Ukrinform, reports News.bg.

Among the injured are a 10-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. Twelve of the injured have been hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care, while the rest are recovering at home.

“Unfortunately, one man, who was in serious condition, could not be saved“, added Lisak.

The attack caused significant damage - an office building and a car were set on fire, and damage was caused to an apartment building, a dormitory and a cultural institution. Two cars were destroyed and 17 others were damaged. A medical center and a children's dental clinic in the city were also damaged.

Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov said that the city authorities, together with the military administration and rescue services, were providing assistance, including with specialized equipment, and the city's hospitals continued to receive the wounded.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack on his Telegram channel, stressing that the target was “civil infrastructure“ and called for tougher international sanctions against Russia.

Later in the day, Russian forces shelled the Pokrovskaya municipality in the Nikopol region with heavy artillery. There were no reports of casualties, and the area is being examined by specialists. At the same time, the Pokrovskaya and Mezhevskaya municipalities of the Sinelnikov region were shelled with guided bombs and FPV drones, during which a house belonging to local residents was set on fire. No injuries have been reported so far.

“All services are working and eliminating the consequences of the enemy terror,“ said Lisak.
