Marine Le Pen, leader of the right-wing “National Rally“ party in the French parliament, congratulated Andrej Babis, leader of the Czech opposition movement ANO (Action of Dissatisfied Citizens), on the victory of his movement in the parliamentary elections.
„Congratulations to Andrej Babis and the ANO party, who win the Czech parliamentary elections by a large margin. Across Europe, people who want to regain freedom and prosperity are calling on patriotic parties to take power!, Le Pen wrote on her social media page.
The ANO movement won the elections for the lower house of the Czech parliament, receiving 34.71% of the vote after 99.48% of polling stations were counted. The ruling SPOLU (Together) coalition, led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala, came in second with 23.24% of the vote.
