American entrepreneur Elon Musk announced that the early beta version of Grokipedia, which is being developed by the billionaire's artificial intelligence company xAI, will be released in two weeks.
In late September, Musk announced that xAI would rewrite the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, taking into account media that are prohibited from citing, and publish the results openly. He later added that xAI, which is developing the Grok artificial intelligence, will create the so-called “Grokipedia“. Musk said this would be a significant improvement to Wikipedia.
“Early beta version 0.1 of Grokipedia will be released in two weeks“, Musk wrote on X's social media account.
In early September, Musk supported calls to defund Wikipedia after a post calling conservative activist Charlie Kirk a “white nationalist“.
