Indian authorities will continue to pay increased tariffs to the United States unless New Delhi stops buying Russian oil, US President Donald Trump said on board his plane while returning to Washington from Florida.

The US administration accepts that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is in effect, President Donald Trump said.

Trump departed from Palm Beach, Florida, for New York under increased security measures after the discovery of an observation tower near the airport from which Air Force One was monitored, Fox News reported.

According to the channel, for security reasons, the American leader boarded the plane in small steps. Contrary to custom, the president did not speak to reporters on the runway.

As the channel reported, the US Secret Service had previously discovered a tower near the airport overlooking the landing zone of Air Force One. According to a law enforcement source, the position was probably created “several months ago“. The FBI is investigating the incident and no information has yet been released about any possible suspects.

Trump intends to announce tariffs on goods from Colombia soon, said US Senator Lindsey Graham.

The lawmaker noted in X that he had discussed with Trump possible measures against countries that the Washington administration believes facilitate drug smuggling into the US. According to Graham, the US leader informed him that he intends to take action against individuals in Colombia involved in drug trafficking. "He will announce significant tariffs on Colombia today or tomorrow," Graham said.

Trump had previously accused Colombian President Gustavo Petro of encouraging drug production and announced the end of US financial support for the South American republic. Trump also said the US could take decisive action against Colombia if its authorities do not step up their fight against drug production.
