Ontario authorities said they would pause the ad campaign that prompted US President Donald Trump to abruptly end trade talks with Canada, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The ad features the voice of the late US President Ronald Reagan, who says tariffs cause trade wars and economic catastrophe.
It will continue to air over the weekend during the World Series and will be suspended on Monday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said.
"Following a conversation with Premier (Mark) Carney, Ontario will pause its ad campaign related to the United States starting Monday so that trade talks can resume," Ford said in a statement.
