Russian forces regularly hear foreign languages on the frontline in Ukraine, and the Kremlin has said such fighters will be “destroyed“, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Moscow has long claimed that NATO military personnel are present on Ukrainian territory and that its eavesdropping services have intercepted conversations in English and French. The US-led alliance, however, stresses that it has not deployed troops to Ukraine, although it continues to provide military and technical assistance to Kiev.
American media recall that US intelligence services and leading European countries have a significant presence in Ukraine, but do not participate directly in hostilities.
„Our military constantly hears foreign languages at the front. Such foreigners are there – we are destroying them and will continue to do our job“, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on allegations that France may be preparing to deploy troops in Ukraine.
Peskov added that Russia could not assess the possibility of peace talks, as Kiev has suspended them and is not answering Moscow's questions.
The Kremlin spokesman also noted that Moscow had noted the statements of US President Donald Trump, who called on countries to stop buying Russian oil, but stressed that Russia's partners would decide for themselves whether to continue importing its energy resources.
“Every country is interested in acquiring strategic raw materials such as energy resources of the highest quality and at the most competitive price“, added Peskov.
