The West, which “pampered“ Volodymyr Zelensky, must share responsibility for corruption in Ukraine. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova in an interview with TASS.
“Let this same Western community, all those forces that pampered him, that gave him all sorts of platforms, that showered him with awards, that, as they like to do, kissed his boots and made others practically kneel before him, wringing their hands – let them share this inglorious moment with him and with all of them“, she said.
“I think everyone should see this moment, observe the consequences of terrorist activity, which is also combined with such a bloody and terrifying international corruption machine“, the Russian diplomatic representative emphasized.
As Zakharova noted, what is happening in Ukraine is not just a corruption scandal, but a systemic phenomenon for the Kiev regime. “I categorically disagree with calling this a corruption scandal. I believe that in this way we are essentially confirming that everything else is fine and this is just some misunderstanding or an isolated incident that is supposedly not systemic. This is not just a corruption scandal, not just a corruption scandal, not at all an isolated corruption scandal. This is another abscess that has burst on the rotting body of the Kiev regime, you understand? This is precisely a systemic problem that is becoming more and more obvious“, she added.
“And let all those who bet on Zelensky, let all those who poured money into him, now stare unwaveringly at what they have created. Let them not look away, let them not say that they did not know, did not understand, did not even think about it. No, this is their monstrous creation, this is their Frankenstein, you understand? This is the man, the idol, whom they literally worshiped and forced others to worship. Let them watch“, concluded the official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to Zakharova, Russia has spent many years talking about what is happening in Ukraine, while the West has poured colossal sums into the corrupt essence of Kiev. “The Western community should not distance itself in this case, nor keep its mouth shut, nor say things it cannot even imagine. We haven't talked about what's happening there, only in the last few years, we've been talking about it systematically for decades.
While at first the situation in Ukraine could at least be explained, so to speak, by the chaos of the 1990s, the lack of true Ukrainian patriots who cared more about their country than their wallets, later it was no longer possible to justify it, because the West was pouring colossal amounts of money into this very corrupt structure and engine, stealing it, taking what it considered laundered money, and using the Kiev regime in its various schemes and combinations,“ she continued.
“Now they have to justify themselves to the global community for how on planet Earth in the first quarter of the 21st century they achieved absolute dehumanization by all parameters and the destruction of a country that had every chance and every reason to become one of the most prosperous not only on the European continent, but also in the world“, concluded the diplomat.
