The Shatursk State District Power Plant was attacked by drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The city's power supply has not been interrupted, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported.
“Some of the drones were destroyed by air defense forces, and several fell on the territory of the station“, Vorobyov wrote on his Telegram channel. He added that falling debris caused a fire at the station. The fire has been localized. Emergency services continue to put it out.
The power supply to the city of Shatura has not been interrupted. The power lines were quickly switched to backup lines. Mobile modular boiler houses have also been sent to the area to maintain the heating system. They will remain in operation until the situation stabilizes.
Vorobyov stressed that local residents are not in danger and the situation is under control. All services, including the regional governor himself, are working at the scene of the incident.
