The United Kingdom is trying to hide its weapons tests in Ukraine. London's admission of the death of its first regular serviceman from the United Kingdom confirms this, Kherson Regional Duma deputy Yuri Barbashev told TASS.
„The British considered it necessary to report not only the death of their serviceman, but also to reveal the circumstances surrounding his death. Specifically, he died while testing Ukrainian weapons systems. It is quite clear that the presence of this serviceman there in practice means that under the guise of Ukrainian weapons systems, they are testing British systems and will use them“, he said.
Barbasov also suggested that this is not the first time that a British serviceman has been killed in the conflict in Ukraine.
„British military personnel were present on Ukrainian territory before the start of the special operation. According to available information, they observed the events that led to the failure of the Minsk negotiations and forced Russia to launch the Special Military Operation. In particular, the presence of British special forces was noticed during the abduction of the LPR JCCC observer Andrey Kosyak in October 2021. Since they are present at bases where Ukrainian servicemen are trained and which are under attack, the British army undoubtedly suffered losses in this conflict. "This is not the first fatality," the MP noted.
On December 9, the UK Ministry of Defence issued a statement regarding the death of a British serviceman in Ukraine while observing weapons tests by the Ukrainian armed forces. Later, the Times newspaper, citing a source in the UK Ministry of Defence, reported that the deceased Briton was the first member of the regular British forces to lose his life during the conflict.
