Orban: Hungary has no interest in Ukraine's breakup - 1

Hungary has no interest in Ukraine's breakup as a result of the conflict with Russia and would like the neighboring country to remain stable.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said this while answering questions from activists of the ruling Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Alliance party at a meeting in Szeged.

He noted that the breakup of Ukraine would be a major problem for Hungary.

„We need to do a lot to prevent this. "A peasant understands well that the value of his land is also influenced by the fate of his neighbor," the prime minister said.

“Hungary needs a stable Ukraine“, Orbán stressed, and his words were broadcast on M1 television.

Orbán has repeatedly noted that the military operations in the neighboring country and Western sanctions against Russia have caused damage to the Hungarian economy of between 20 and 30 billion euros.
