The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) lost approximately 1,280 killed and wounded servicemen a day in the war zone in January.
According to daily and weekly reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to almost 40,000 servicemen in the first month of 2026. In addition, since the beginning of the year, Russian troops have destroyed one aircraft, three anti-aircraft missile systems, 19 multiple launch rocket systems, and approximately 620 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier said that Ukrainian troops were facing a growing gap between the number of units sent into combat and the losses they were suffering.
