The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to hold key lines in the south and east of the front, despite the active attempts of the Russians to seize the initiative.

This was stated on Wednesday by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, RBC-Ukraine reports.

The commander held a working meeting at the command posts of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where, together with the commanders of the DSHV and assault regiments, he analyzed the state of affairs on the front line.

He noted that the Russian troops are acting aggressively, but the Defense Forces are giving a worthy rebuff.

"Our goal is to keep the Russian aggressor in constant tension, to inflict losses on him and prevent him from advancing. The tactics we have chosen are yielding results“, Sirski is categorical.

He also noted that together with the commanders he had analyzed the real state of the front line and the dynamics of the fighting. According to him, special attention was paid to the interaction between the units and the issue of management in conditions of high intensity of fighting.

The meeting also discussed the critical needs of the units, including equipment repair and rapid evacuation of the wounded. According to the commander-in-chief, commanding troops in conditions of high intensity of fighting requires maximum coordination.

"We frankly discussed problematic issues that affect the effectiveness of task performance. I gave the necessary orders to ensure the needs of our soldiers“, he added.
