Sibiga: We are holding consultations on the date of Ukraine's accession to the EU - 1

Ukraine is holding consultations on how to determine the date of its accession to the EU, and the agreement should also take into account other candidate countries. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga to journalists in Munich, answering questions from European Pravda.

The minister emphasized that Ukraine's public demands to fix the date of its accession to the EU in documents are realistic.

"All these talks are realistic. Ukraine is openly putting forward the requested positions, which we are counting on," he said.

According to him, now the negotiations on the scheme for setting such a date are based on the fact that we are talking not only about Ukraine's accession, but also about a new security structure: "For us, our membership in the EU is an element of security guarantees, so we are now actively consulting with our European partners".

"It would be very strange if Russia could maintain this for a very, very long time". This opinion was expressed by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, reports European Pravda.
"We must stop the flow of money from the sale of gas and oil as soon as possible, finally and completely, because this is the source of financing this terrible war, the money that Russia needs", he said.

Recall that French President Emmanuel Macron stated that sending troops to Ukraine now would mean escalation and loss of control over the situation.

"Therefore, I believe that our main priority in the coming weeks should be to resume cooperation with the United States, so that they can assess together with us the fact that there is no longer room for short-term negotiations. And they imposed additional sanctions, additional measures against the shadowy fleet and increased pressure on the Russian economy to stop this war, but in a much better situation," Macron explained.
