The Russian army has increased its efforts to recruit foreign mercenaries to fight in Ukraine, UNIAN reported. Due to the increasing losses on the front, the Kremlin is forced to more actively seek foreigners who will go to the front for pay, "Focus" listed.
Therefore, under the guise of private businesses, special centers are creating a network to attract foreigners. A journalistic investigation shows how the Moscow center "Voivode" has begun to hire students with knowledge of specific languages - English, French, Arabic, Hindi, Swahili, Urdu and others. The job advertisements mention that candidates need to be able to build contacts and trust, as well as solve problems with the candidates' visas to arrive in Russia.
For this purpose and the attractive payment of mercenaries, the "Voyvoda" center alone received 350 million rubles last year, or nearly 4 million euros. However, this money does not come from the government, but from the private sector, such as agriculture and construction. This way, companies buy peace of mind that their employees will not be mobilized for the front in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin has distributed a list of countries whose citizens should not be recruited. These are China, Brazil, India, Turkey, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, as well as many African countries.
