Nadezhda Neynski: Europe is united on high fuel prices, common solutions are being sought - 1

Europe is united on high fuel prices, common solutions are being sought, Bulgaria has no problem with supplies, at least at this stage. This was stated by our Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski after her meeting with the foreign ministers of the European Union countries in Brussels, quoted by Dariknews.bg.

"A large part of our supplies do not come from the Strait of Hormuz, they pass through the Black Sea, so in terms of supplies, and in terms of the reserves that we have, we have no problem. The problem is with prices and common solutions must be sought within the EU. For the moment, Bulgaria is not using reserves," Neinsky reassured.
She explained that support for Ukraine and for preventing supplies from Russia to the EU is very categorical.

"The EU is absolutely aware that every euro goes to Russia's military machine, and for Europe, ending the war in a way that preserves its territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty is a priority," said our foreign minister. She added that she is planning a visit to Ukraine on March 31 to pay tribute to those who died in Bucha. A meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky is planned as part of the visit.

Neinsky also commented on US President Donald Trump's proposal for the participation of partners in protecting the Strait of Hormuz. “The proposal is for US allies who have the capacity and desire to participate. Bulgaria has not been made a similar offer, we do not have the capacity, so for us this issue is not relevant at the moment”, explained diplomat number 1.

Regarding the fight against disinformation in the parliamentary elections, Neynsky said that they want to create a unit in the Foreign Ministry to fight disinformation.

"Over the years, I have become convinced that the surest way to fight fake news is information”, said Neynsky and cited as examples of disinformation waves the topics of the adoption of the euro and speculation in the prices of oil products. The Foreign Minister called for mass voting in the upcoming elections as a method of minimizing the damage from malicious actions.
