US, Ukrainian delegations hold constructive talks in Florida, visit continues  - 1

The US and Ukrainian delegations held constructive talks in Florida, said US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff.

He said the parties focused “on narrowing and resolving outstanding issues with the aim of moving closer to a comprehensive peace agreement“.

The US delegation, in addition to Witkoff, included US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner, Federal Procurement Service (FAS) Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum, and State Department Senior Policy Advisor Chris Curran.

“We welcome the continued commitment to resolving outstanding issues, recognizing their importance to broader global stability, and we thank the US President for his continued leadership in advancing these efforts“, wrote Witkoff.

After the talks, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov wrote on Telegram that “key issues and further steps within the negotiating path“ were discussed.“.

“Special attention was paid to coordinating approaches for further progress towards achieving practical results“, noted Umerov, who participated in the meeting.

The Ukrainian delegation also includes Kirill Budanov, head of the Ukrainian leader's office, David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People faction, and Sergiy Kislytsia, first deputy head of Zelensky's office.

The talks will continue on March 22.

Earlier, the Kremlin announced that the Russian side would not participate in the meeting in the United States. “No, these will be bilateral contacts between Ukrainians and Americans“, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. He described the pause in the trilateral talks as temporary, explaining that “American negotiators currently have different priorities“.
