Dozens injured in Russian drone strikes in Ukraine  - 1

At least 25 people were injured in Russian drone strikes against Ukraine overnight, with 15 of the injured in the border city of Sumy, local authorities said, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia fired two missiles and 143 drones, with one missile and 116 drones shot down.

In addition to Sumy, three people were injured each in Kharkiv region and in the city of Slavyansk, and four more were injured in Dnipropetrovsk region. Rescue services released footage of residents being evacuated from affected apartment buildings.

For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry said air defenses had shot down 97 Ukrainian drones.

Meanwhile, 246 firefighters were still battling a large fire in the Black Sea port of Tuapse, more than a day after a Ukrainian drone attack, Reuters reported. The city is a key center for exporting petroleum products.
