A car exploded outside a police station near Belfast overnight, the Northern Irish newspaper Belfast Telegraph reported on Sunday, quoted by "Reuters".
No officers were injured, news.bg specified.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said in a statement that an evacuation operation was underway following a security alert in Dunmurry, south of Belfast.
The Belfast Telegraph published a photo of a burning car.
Although the 1998 peace agreement largely ended three decades of religious violence in Northern Ireland, police officers are still sporadically targeted by small separatist groups, mostly made up of nationalist militants opposed to British rule in the region.
