The authorities of North Korea (DPRK) announced that they have successfully tested a new type of hypersonic ballistic missile, the South Korean news agency Renhap reported.
"North Korea said it successfully tested a new hypersonic missile, the Hwasong-16, on Tuesday, the news agency reported.

Kim Jong-un said that "building a massive force capable of deterring and controlling the enemy is the most urgent task at the moment.
On Tuesday, the South Korean military reported the launch of an intermediate-range ballistic missile from North Korea.
The launch was the third this year.
