Glavchev from Brussels: We support Ukraine in every possible way. We support the European position  - 1

The fight against disinformation is on the attention of European leaders in the context of the upcoming elections for the European Parliament. It is important that decisive action is taken by Member States and that all institutions act in sync and coordination. This was stated by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev after the meeting of the European Council, quoted by the government press service.

Conclusions were adopted in Brussels expressing the determination of the Union and its Member States to closely monitor and limit any risks arising from disinformation, including through artificial intelligence, as well as from foreign manipulation of information and interference in electoral processes.

Regarding Ukraine, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev confirmed Bulgaria's categorical support.

"We support Ukraine in every possible way. We support the European position," the Prime Minister said.

According to him, sources of help could be the revenues from the frozen Russian assets, which are estimated at around 2 and a half - 3 billion euros.

Prime Minister Glavchev also emphasized the call of the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, for anti-missile systems to be provided to Kiev as soon as possible, the government press service states.

Glavchev also highlighted Bulgaria's support for the resumption of EU dialogue with Turkey. The direction is to expand the dialogue with Turkey on the occasion of the association in the European Union, as well as the modernization of the customs union, added Glavchev.
