Ali Ahmeti attacked Mickoski: He has not ruled the country for a single day - 1

The exchange of remarks between the chairman of VMRO-DPMNE Hristiyan Mickoski and the chairman of the largest Albanian party DSI Ali Ahmeti continued on the last day of the election campaign for the presidential elections in North Macedonia, which will take place on Wednesday, BTA reported.

During the rallies, Mickoski called for a vote for VMRO-DPMNE and for DSI to be sent to the opposition, linked the party with corruption and crime and claimed that DSI, not SDSM, ruled the country.

At the rally in the center of Skopje yesterday, Ahmeti addressed him with a recommendation to "choose your words”, because “a fortress is built stone by stone, and trouble begins with words”.

Today, at a rally in Shtip, Mickoski said that “such attacks are an expression of nervousness, an expression of panic and fear”, because Ahmeti knows he will lose the elections, and VMRO-DPMNE calls on the Albanian opposition “to unite against this government” , because “the state was hijacked by DSI, and the main accomplice is SDSM”

“Mickoski shouldn't have started this fight with me because he can't finish it. I did not provoke him, I told the truth that he was never the head of the state. He has been in opposition for seven years and does not know how the state is governed, does not know how institutions are built. We have the responsibility to run the country, we have the responsibility that there should be no inter-ethnic differences. People decide, and this is not an insult to Hristiyan Mitskoski, but advice from a person who has 22 years of experience in political organizational life and state management, said Ali Ahmeti in an interview with TV 21 on Monday evening.

Asked about today's statement by the president of VMRO-DPMNE that Ahmeti “will retire” after the elections, the DSI leader says that not Mickoski, but the citizens decide this.

“We are in a race and the race will determine who will be where. Let me remind Hristiyan Mitskoski that I have retired nine politicians like him... It is good that he should not be in a hurry with these statements...“, Ahmeti said, quoted by the media in North Macedonia.

According to him, the biggest political parties should bear the biggest responsibility and take the initiative to unite the citizens.

The first round of the presidential elections in North Macedonia will be held on April 24, but the election campaign for the parliamentary elections on May 8, which will be held together with the second round of the presidential elections in the country, continues.
