New ban on Ukrainians who registered their cars in the military services - 1

Citizens of Ukraine will not be able to export cars that are registered in the military services outside their regions, nor will they be able to to sell them. The innovation applies to all car owners, regardless of gender and age, reports the Judicial Journal

It is noted that any actions with such vehicles that “prevent their transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations” are prohibited. That is, owners will not be able to move cars, sell them, leave them as collateral, rent them out, etc. These rules apply “not only to businesses - ordinary car owners are subject to the new law, regardless of gender and military service relationship".

Such vehicles can be sent to other regions only after notifying the military registration and enlistment office of the location of the vehicles and for a period not exceeding one month.

In addition, it is established that enterprises, institutions and organizations are obliged to ensure, in the event of mobilization, the delivery of vehicles and equipment to assembly points and military units within the time and at the place specified in the special order. Cars are returned to the owner within 30 calendar days from the date of demobilization. The procedure for impounding cars still needs to be approved by the cabinet.

„If entrepreneurs ignore the legislation on military registration, they will be fined up to 59,500 hryvnias (about 1,500 USD), citizens - up to 22,500 hryvnias (about 570 USD),”, the publication summarizes.

On May 18, a scandalous law on new mobilization rules came into force in Ukraine. With this law, the authorities pursue the goal of significantly replenishing army units that have suffered heavy losses, introducing a number of new strict recruitment rules and significantly depriving citizens of their rights. The decree of the Council of Ministers, explaining and supplementing the provisions of the law, is about 80 pages long, but was published only on the evening of May 17.
