Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the military hit an oil refinery and military airport in the southern part of Russia's Krasnodar Krai , said a source from the Ukrainian intelligence, quoted by Reuters.
"This is the second attack by SSU drones against the military airport "Kushchevskaya" and the "Slavyansk" refinery in the past three weeks," the source said, specifying that dozens of aircraft, including Su-34, Su-25, Su-27 and MiG-29, were stationed at the airport, BTA clarifies.
Earlier today, senior Russian officials said that Ukraine fired 9 long-range tactical missiles "ATAKMS" (Army Tactical Missile Systems, ATACMS) over Crimea and attacked Russian areas with at least 60 drones, forcing an oil refinery in southern Russia to shut down.
Earlier it was also reported that the oil refinery "Slavyansk" in Krasnodar Krai in southern Russia has temporarily halted operations following a massive Ukrainian drone attack overnight. According to local authorities, six Ukrainian drones fell that night on the territory of the processing plant.
Reuters specified that the "Slavyansk" has a capacity of 4 million tons of oil per year, which is about 1 million barrels per day.
