Moscow is ready to provide all necessary assistance in the search for the missing helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told TASS.
„We are closely following emerging information about the fate of the passengers of the third helicopter, who included senior Iranian officials, including President Raisi”, she said.
„We sincerely hope that they are alive and that their lives and health are not in danger. Russia is ready to provide all necessary assistance in the search for the missing helicopter and the investigation of the causes of the accident."
The European Union (EU) is using its Copernicus satellite system to help Iran locate the helicopter carrying Islamic President Ebrahim Raisi, European Commissioner Janez Lenarcic, who heads emergency response at the European Commission, said.
„At Iran's request, we have activated our Copernicus emergency satellite surveillance system in response to a suspected incident involving a helicopter carrying the Iranian president and his team,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
