British Labor on course for historic victory - 1

British Labor looks set to win historic victory in July 4 general election, with their party expected to secure a majority of 194 seats in the House of Commons, according to the latest YouGov survey, BNR reported.

This will be the largest number of seats won by a British party in an election since Stanley Baldwin won a majority of 208 back in 1924.

"Sky News" published the study, which heralds a serious redrawing of the political landscape in the country. YouGov also predicts a Tory wipeout across large parts of Britain, a Lib Dem surge and the loss of more than half of the Scottish National Party's seats in Scotland if the election were held now.

The poll gives Labor 422 seats, up 222 on the 2019 results, now based on new constituency boundaries.

A majority of 194 seats for Keir Starmer would eclipse Tony Blair's huge majority of 179 in 1997 and Margaret Thatcher's 144 in 1983. The Conservatives will fall to just 140 seats in parliament, a full 232 fewer than in the 2019 election. Thus, they will approach their weakest performance so far with 131 places in 1906.

British politician Nigel Farage, who helped the United Kingdom leave the European Union, announced that he will stand in the parliamentary elections next month, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

Despite his seven unsuccessful attempts to become a member of the British Parliament, Farage is one of the most influential politicians in the United Kingdom. For years, he has been putting pressure on British prime ministers to take tougher positions on Europe and migration.

He also managed to convince millions of voters in England and Wales who felt neglected by the Conservatives and Labor to support Brexit.
