American President Joe Biden will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in the framework of the celebrations of the anniversary of the landing in Normandy, and then at the G7 summit in Italy, the White House announced, shortly after the US president left for France, reported AFP. quoted by BTA.
"During his visit to Normandy, Biden will have an opportunity to discuss with President Zelensky the situation in Ukraine and how we can continue to deepen our support for Ukraine,” White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters aboard the the presidential plane "Air Force 1".
Sullivan noted that the United States has no plans to send American military instructors to Ukraine. "For our part, we are not planning a training mission in Ukraine," he said. "They need more air defense and we are working on that, as well as a steady stream of weapons that we will supply them," added the adviser, quoted by Reuters.
