The actions of the Moldovan president Maya Sandu are leading the country to war. This is what former President of Moldova and leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said in an interview with TASS on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.
„Unfortunately, what Maya Sandhu has been doing for the past year and a half is preparing for war. Constant exercises with NATO soldiers on the territory of neutral Moldova, American planes landing at Moldovan airports, transit of unknown sealed cargo from Romania, from NATO to Ukraine. It quadrupled the budget of the Ministry of Defense. Buys radars and weapons. Actively recruits reservists for military service. All these elements show that Maya Sandu and her curators are preparing Moldova for war”, noted the politician.
„This worries us a lot”, emphasized Dodon. “We really hope nothing happens before the presidential election. And after the presidential elections, there will be another president who will be a guarantee of peace. Maya Sandhu is a road to war."
According to him, Sandu will lead Moldova to the situation in which Ukraine is currently, because it is following the same steps. “She is leading the country with all these actions to destabilization, to war. But we don't need that“, said the former president of the country.
Sandu will not be able to honestly win the presidential election, she may resort to cheating abroad. The current president has the biggest anti-rating, that is, more than 55-60% of the Moldovan population wants another president, Dodon said.
„I think Maya Sandu will lose this election in the country”, says the interlocutor of the agency, “We still don't know what the difference in votes will be, whether it will be 55 to 45 or 60 to 40” .
