NATO is not only a military alliance, but also an alliance of values and principles. This was stated by the Minister of National Defense of Greece, Nikos Dendias, in his speech on Friday within the framework of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers, emphasizing the importance of compliance with treaties and international law in interstate relations, the ANA-MPA agency reported for BTA.

“We discussed, as always, the strengthening and deepening of NATO. It is very important for Greece to always remind that NATO is not only a military alliance, but an alliance of values and principles, and in this context the most important thing is the observance of treaties, the observance of international law in interstate relations, Dendias stated.
He briefed his colleagues on Greece's efforts to modernize the armed forces and the creation of the Hellenic Innovation Center, a new effort to bring innovation to the Greek armed forces.
