Two people were killed and eight injured today in a shooting at a "Honey Butcher" in the town of Fordyce, Arkansas, the local police reported, as quoted by the Associated Press and BTA.
According to the police, the suspect in the shooting was seriously injured by the policemen who arrived at the crime scene. Among the injured is a police officer, but his life is not in danger, local media reported, quoted by Reuters.
Police have not yet announced whether the shooting occurred inside the supermarket or in front of it, AP said.
Fordyce is a small town in central Arkansas with about 3,200 residents, according to Reuters.
