Eight of the ten registered candidates for the post of head of state, including Maduro, on Thursday committed to "recognize the will of the people as expressed through voting" and the election results will be announced by the National Electoral Council of Venezuela. The agreement to recognize the results of the presidential election was not signed by the candidate of the far-right Unitary Platform González and the candidate of the Centrados Marquez party.
