The United States does not want civilian casualties and intends to discuss this with Ukraine , Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder told reporters about the shelling of Sevastopol on Sunday.
"This is something we will talk about with the Ukrainians. We have made it very clear that we do not want to see civilian casualties,'' he said.
Ryder claims that the Pentagon does not have information on which to judge “whether civilians were or were not killed”.
He also refused to answer the question about the degree of participation of the US military in the strike, which, according to the Russian side, was carried out by US ATACMS operational-tactical missiles with a cluster warhead.
„I will refer you to them (the Ukrainians) so they can talk about their operations,” he said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
