Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev in a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary General Jean-Pierre Lacroix called on the organization to made an assessment of the strikes of the Ukrainian armed forces in Crimea on June 23, the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk announced on the department's Telegram channel.

The minister also expressed confidence that all those responsible for "this and other terrorist attacks on Russian territory will suffer inevitable punishment".

Kiev launched an attack on June 23 at 12:15 Moscow time. According to the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian armed forces attempted to strike Sevastopol with five US-supplied ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads. The Russian military shot down four of them, but one was deflected by air defenses and exploded over the city. The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, announced that a beach where people with children rest was attacked by the Ukrainian armed forces.

Four people died in the attack, including two children. Another 153 people were injured, 79 of whom were hospitalized, including 27 children.

As stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the United States, together with the Ukrainian authorities, are responsible for the deliberate strike of the Ukrainian armed forces on the city. They emphasized that all launches and flights of ATACMS operational-tactical missiles are introduced by American specialists based on their own satellite intelligence data. According to the Flightradar portal, during the attack of the Ukrainian armed forces against Sevastopol, an American reconnaissance drone RQ-4B Global Hawk was flying over the Black Sea.
