French far-right leader Jordan Bardela promises that the "National Assembly" ; will not allow Russian imperialism to swallow Ukraine, reports the UNIAN agency.
Bardela is the president of the party and Marine Le Pen's right-hand man. At the same time, he says he will refuse to send French soldiers to the war in Ukraine if he becomes prime minister after the parliamentary elections.
"My position on this conflict is very simple. She never changed. It is to support Ukraine and avoid escalation with Russia, which, let me remind you, is a nuclear power," Bardela said.
The French president has stated several times in recent months that it is possible that at some point France will send its troops to Ukraine. However, most NATO countries, including the US, are against this scenario and indicate that the Alliance will not send its forces against the Russian army.
The far-right party "National Assembly" in France, it has increased its popularity even more and, according to forecasts, it could reach 37% of the vote. This is shown by the data published today in the French "Eco" a new sociological survey, two days before the first round of the parliamentary elections, reported Reuters, BTA reported.
Support for the party has increased by another 2% compared to the last poll by the French institute "Opinion Way" a week ago. At the same time, Macron's centrist coalition "Together!" there are 20%, which is 2% less compared to the last poll.
