Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said today, that the Ukrainian armed forces destroyed this week a Russian satellite communication center on the Crimean peninsula, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The military department said in the Telegram app that the downed target was a "valuable military component in the satellite communication and guidance system of Russian troops".
Reuters makes the caveat that the information cannot be independently verified at the moment.
Information about explosions near the village of Vitino on the Crimean Peninsula, where the communication center in question is located, appeared on social communication platforms on Monday, the agency recalls.
