Zelensky emphasizes the need to maintain a “buffer zone” in certain areas near the Ukrainian state border, noting that this is key to the protection of the territory.
„This operation is extremely important for us,” he said, stressing that the efforts of the Ukrainian military in the region are crucial.
The president also drew attention to the importance of the Kursk operation to strengthen the “exchange fund”, which has helped free Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity. In gratitude to all participants in the operation, Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the soldiers, sergeants and officers who contribute to the active actions in the Kursk region.
Another important aspect that Zelensky mentioned is the report from the General Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service, which reported the presence of North Korean military personnel on Russian territory.
According to the information, about 11,000 North Korean military personnel are already stationed in the Kursk region. The president expressed concern about the increase in their forces, noting that he did not see a corresponding reaction from international partners.
