Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he is preparing a new plan for ending the war in Ukraine, reported France Press, quoted by BTA.
At the same time, the Ukrainian leader emphasized that Ukraine will continue to strengthen militarily in order to persuade Russia to accept a just peace.
"It is very important for us to show a plan to end the war that is supported by the majority (of countries) in the world, that is what we are doing diplomatically,", Zelensky said at a joint press conference in Kyiv with Slovenian President Natasha Pirc-Musar.
"We do not want to prolong this war and we must reach a just peace as soon as possible," Zelensky said.
At the same time, the Ukrainian president noted that his country is strengthening its military industry because "Russia only understands strength and respects only the strong".
"These are two things that go in parallel: to be strong on the battlefield and to develop a plan, a clear and detailed plan that will be ready this year," Zelensky explained.
Kiev has already proposed a ten-point peace plan in 2022, which provides for the unconditional withdrawal of Russian forces from the territory of Ukraine.
