In France, the three victims died when a tree fell on their car under the force of the stormy wind in the Aude department, in northeastern France. A fourth person was injured.

In Switzerland, heavy rains caused landslides in the southeastern part of the country. Four are the victims of the disaster.

The evacuation of vacationers from a campsite in Monjo and from a soccer tournament in Pecha has begun.

Several valleys close to Maja valley are not accessible and there is no electricity. Part of the canton of Ticino is without drinking water.
